Career Mentorship
Currently, Laura dedicates her skills to empowering current creative students as a career mentor, project adviser, and project judge through portfolio and résumé reviews, early career coaching, and interview preparation. Most recently, she had the privilege of serving as a volunteer alumna of the Fashion Scholarship Fund, where she mentored two remarkable scholars.
A proud alum of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Laura also works with current students in the design for sustainability program to help them plot their careers, stay ahead of industry trends, craft standout portfolios, and build powerful networks.

What Mentees Are Saying
“It’s been so comforting to have Laura be my mentor and go-to person when I need advice and assistance during this pivotal time. It’s been a whirlwind these past few months navigating change and a surprising amount of accepted internships and opportunities.
Laura has supported all my goals and endeavors, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her!”
— Taryn Lam, FSF Scholar (current assistant desiger at Another Tomorrow)
“Working with Laura has been an amazing experience and I feel so lucky to have connected with her. Before my internship, we looked over my resume and portfolio and talked through how I could design my senior collection which I am very excited about! After each of our meetings, I feel inspired and reassured that I am doing the best I can, which is something I truly appreciate. It has been a great time so far and I am excited to see what else we accomplish together!”
— Nicole Moreno, FSF Scholar (current design apprentice at Coach)
